Launching of Integrated Business Permit and Licensing System (iBPLS)

The Local Government Unit of Mabinay launched the Integrated Business Permit and Licensing System (iBPLS) with prominent figures from the Department of Information and Communications Technology, the Department of Trade and Industry, and other connected agencies on December 13, 2022, at the Mabinay Terminal Complex and Convention Center. The implementation of iBPLS was approved by Mayor Ernie T. Uy to strengthen government procedures, reduce red tape, ease commercial operations, and garner more investments. Meanwhile, the Municipal Administrator, Ma. Rosario F. Okay likewise appreciated the efforts of the technical aid provided by the DICT in motivating residents to follow a clear and computerized process for registering and acquiring valid licenses. Among the guests present during the launch of IBPLS were Ramil Jeff Taboso (Chief, Admin and Finance DICT, Regional Office VII), Mianne Villaflor (DTI Negosyo Center Provincial Coordinator), Aurelio (Provincial Officer, DICT Negros Oriental), and Jomelou Menorias (iBPLS, PDO I DICT, Regional Office VII).
