"SEAL OF GOOD LOCAL GOVERNANCE (SGLG) NATIONAL ASSESSMENT: ENSURING EXCELLENCE IN LOCAL GOVERNANCE"
On September 11, 2024, at 9:00 AM, at the Mabinay
Teminal Complex and Convention Center, the Local Government Unit of Mabinay
extended a warm welcome to the National Assessment Team for the Seal of Good
Local Governance (SGLG) Assessment. The team validates the papers in accordance
with the "all-in assessment criteria" under the direction of national
validators LGOO VII Rumarheveson D. Bacal and LGOO VI Rudcelle Zalsos from
Region 10. The validators also declared their validation of every criterion
during the exit conference. With ten legally mandated criteria—including
financial administration; health compliance and responsiveness; disaster
preparedness; social protection and sensitivity programs; business friendliness
and competitiveness; safety and peace and order; environmental management;
tourism, culture, and the arts; and youth development programs—the SGLG is the
main performance-based assessment program for excellence in local governance.
The Mabinay Local Government Unit expressed sincere gratitude to the Department
of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for Mabinay's cooperation and
assistance in carrying out the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) 2024.
