Langub Festival 2022
The municipality of Mabinay in Negros Oriental takes great pride in being called the "Cave Capital of the Philippines." In addition to its caves, Mabinay is also well known for its adventure parks and the Mabinay Spring. The Langub Festival is a celebration conducted in the town center in January to honor the wonders of these caverns.
An agricultural fair, sporting events, a pageant, a fun run, street dancing, and live music performances are just a few of the numerous activities and events that make up this week-long fiesta. The Langub Festival, which takes place every year, promotes Mabinay tourism and contributes greatly to the municipality. It takes place in Mabinay's town center (Poblacion) on the days immediately following the 3rd week of January.
The dancers would wear traditional clothing and costumes during the showdown and the street dancing to highlight the way of life that the aborigines had while living in the caves. Due to its historical significance and vibrant attire, the Langub Festival customs are an amazing event to witness. Team IPONA was recognized as the overall winner of this year's Langub Festival competition, and Ms. Merry Louie L. Cadalso was crowned Miss Mabinay.
